NewcastleGateshead Art Fair
The largest commercial Art Fair in North East England returns to The Sage Gateshead, 11th to 14th September 2008.
Art galleries from the UK and overseas are taking part in the NewcastleGateshead Art Fair 2008 - sponsored by HSBC – to be held at one of the UK’s most iconic, modern buildings.
Buying and collecting art seminars
A series of talks on buying art and building a collection will be held. Organisers are working closely with BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art to create a series of workshops leading up to the Fair entitled ‘SMART ARTS: A guide to art fairs’.
Contact the BALTIC for more details: info@balticmill.com
100s of artists - 1000s of artworks
An extensive range of unique art works – paintings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics and glass – will be on show and available to buy with price tags ranging from under £100 to the several £1000’s.

Emerging artists showcase
A further new initiative for this year is the Emerging Artist Section, supported by Arts Council England.
Up to 15 unrepresented artists from the North East will be exhibited to view and buy - selected by a range of respected curators including Northern Galleries of Contemporary Art, Vane, The Laing Gallery and Northern Print.
This will be a great opportunity to catch these up and coming artists at an early stage of their career.
Northern Print will be holding demonstrations and workshops throughout the weekend.
The NewcastleGateshead Art Fair will be a must for all visitors, art lovers and collectors along with those interested in browsing for their first investment.
Own art to take home
The Own Art scheme is designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to buy contemporary works of art and craft including paintings, photography, sculpture, glassware and furniture.
Making art affordable today...

A wrap-pack-delivery service will be available throughout the fair for all new additions to your art collection.
