We have the pleasure of presenting the latest information regarding the NewcastleGateshead Art Fair 2008 sponsored by HSBC.

We are glad to report that after all our behind the scenes work we have gained a huge partner buy-in this year, including The Sage Gateshead, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, One NorthEast, Arts Council of England, NewcastleGateshead Initiative, and regional media partners Newcastle Chronicle and Journal (who also publish the Culture Magazine and Exclusive Magazine) from whom we will receive constant media coverage. We have received huge support from Newcastle City Council and Gateshead Council, and are in the midst of finalising national gallery media support. This will be backed by a full marketing campaign which is being managed by our specialist PR and Marketing agency Mitchellhaltonwatson with Director Wayne Halton personally overseeing the work.

HSBC, our main sponsor for 2008 , will not only be helping us produce regional and national event exposure, they will also be offering signed up galleries the opportunity to present work within their branches, strictly on a first come first served basis – this has already been greeted with great enthusiasm!

The Sage Gateshead, for those not familiar with it, is a world class venue designed by Sir Norman Foster and home to the Northern Symphonia. We have secured a unique opportunity to use this venue for the Art Fair enabling us to help build the event into one of the major Arts events in the North East. The venue itself has a huge north facing glass canopy with 4 sets of stairs, 4 lifts and open balcony style aspects for both levels with stunning views across the quayside creating a truly spectacular setting for the NewcastleGateshead Art Fair.

For reference, all but a few of the concourse level have been taken but for all availability please ring Vincent or Andy. Do feel free to talk over any questions, queries you may have and clarify the costs of your preferred stands. Stands start from just £875 for 5 linear metres on level 1. Making this a great Fair to promote and sell work for your gallery in a market we and our partners are rapidly developing.

 

The exhibition will bring together 45-50 art dealers and galleries under one world-renowned roof at The Sage Gateshead! It is an opportunity to present work on:
