By Bus & Metro

The closest metro and bus concourse is Gateshead Interchange. The Sage Gateshead is within a 10 minute walk. Alternatively Quaylink bus 1 leaves frequently from Gateshead Interchange and takes 8 minutes to arrive at The Sage Gateshead.

The bright yellow Quaylink buses run every 10 minutes during the day, around every 20 minutes during the evenings and directly serves The Sage Gateshead. The Quaylink Service 1 (Q1) starts from both Newcastle Central Station and Gateshead Interchange. It takes 10 minutes from Central Station to The Sage Gateshead; the last return bus leaves The Sage Gateshead at 11.59pm. It takes 4 minutes from Gateshead Interchange, with the last return service leaving The Sage Gateshead at 12.28am.

 
 

By Car

The Sage Gateshead and Gateshead Quays is sign posted from all directions.

There is a drop-off and collection point at the west door of The Sage Gateshead.

The Sage Gateshead has its own car park with lift access situated directly behind the building. If you arrive and depart within 30 minutes, there is no charge. From 06.00-17.00 charges are 90p per hour, paid for on exit only. From 5pm there is a pre-pay discounted rate available at a fixed charge of £2.70 for the whole evening.

Further car parking is available within two to fifteen minutes walking distance from The Sage Gateshead, in Gateshead and Newcastle centres. The venue is adjascent to many cycle routes. Cycle racks are available adjacent to the building.

By Taxi

There is a taxi rank at the west entrance of The Sage Gateshead, NewcastleGateshead Art Fair can be reached in ten minutes by taxi from Central Station.
